We are really keen to hire an Accounts Payable Supervisor in a mixed role with some invoice processing and team leadership responsibilities.
What you’ll do…
- Supervise and oversee the Accounts Payable team
- Responsible for key ledger accounts (processing invoices, setting up payments and statement reconciliation)
- Support the Group Financial Operations Manager to organise payment runs and proposals to ensure a smooth process is maintained
- Ensure all supplier invoices are settled in a timely and efficient fashion
- Liaise with other departments in the business - Property, Commercial Finance, Finance Managers and Management accountants, to ensure that invoices are paid promptly and accounted for correctly in the ledger
- Ensure that adequate new supplier and change of bank details procedures are followed to protect against fraud
- Organise and distribute invoices for authorisation and liaising with staff to ensure invoices are signed off on a timely basis
Who you’ll be…
- Strong people skills developed through holding a Team Leader or Supervisor position previously
- AP professional with demonstrable experience managing high volumes of invoices
- Great ability to prioritise appropriately and manage your time effectively
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Flexible and open attitude, willingness to propose and embrace new ideas and assist where needed
