Whether you've worked in prisons, probation, police, courts, social services, education, health, or as a foster carer, or bring life experience that shapes the way you work with others, we want to hear from you. Psychology graduates, life coaches, counsellors, psychotherapists, or anyone with transferable skills who loves working with people are encouraged to apply.

As a Supporting People on Probation Navigator, you'll:

  • Walk alongside adult men on probation as they understand their lifestyle, relationships, and emotional wellbeing.
  • Help Service Users navigate the consequences of their actions, leave behind harmful relationships, and rebuild positive connections.
  • Facilitate group interventions, deliver 1:1 support, attend prison resettlement meetings, and even support community projects like allotments or music sessions.
  • Keep excellent records, contribute to enforceable action plans, and work closely with Probation Practitioners.

  • Transferable skills or experience in risk assessment, action planning, delivering interventions, safeguarding, and accurate record-keeping.
  • Creativity, collaboration, flexibility, and the confidence to work independently and safely.
  • Commitment to high standards, targets, and making a real impact.

A full UK driving licence is desirable as travel between venues is essential.

All probation-based roles are subject to enhanced DBS checks and HMPPS security vetting. These checks can take up to 6-16 weeks to complete. Any offer of employment will be conditional upon the successful completion of both checks. Please note if you have lived overseas within the last 5 years then checks may take longer.
