Looking for a kitchen role that’s more than just cooking? The Brink Café in Liverpool city centre is on the hunt for a talented Casual Chef to whip up fresh, healthy, homemade food for our café and special events. Work Saturdays, with occasional weekday cover and ad hoc evenings, perfect for chefs who love variety and creativity.
At The Brink, you’ll be part of a unique, award-winning dry café bar that’s a safe, welcoming space for the Recovery Community while serving the general public. It’s a place where food, creativity, and community come together, and where your skills can make a real difference.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Prep, cook, and serve delicious café dishes and event menus
- Work independently in the kitchen while maintaining high standards
- Support volunteers and share your kitchen know-how
- Keep the kitchen spotless, cleaning, stock rotation, and HACCP records
- Assist with ordering, stock management, and menu improvements
- Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service
- Promote The Brink’s services, events, and wellbeing activities
Please note this is a casual contract – no set working hours or working pattern. This is a 0-hour position, with work offered as and when needed to cover staff annual leave, sickness, and events. Please also note that availability to work every Saturday is required as part of this role.
