Join The Forward Trust as a full-time (35 hours) Counsellor based in North Northamptonshire, and be part of an exciting new Day Rehab service. This is your chance to help shape a growing programme, support lasting change, and work alongside a passionate, multidisciplinary team.
The Role
You’ll play a central role in delivering a structured Day Rehab programme, supporting individuals recovering from substance misuse. Expect a dynamic mix of 1:1 counselling, group facilitation, and case management, no two days are the same.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Deliver 1:1 counselling and manage a caseload of clients
- Plan and run group therapy sessions and psycho-educational workshops
- Carry out assessments and risk assessments for programme applicants
- Co-create personalised treatment plans with clients
- Facilitate community meetings and family conferences
- Conduct drug and alcohol screenings
- Maintain accurate case notes and client records
- Support clients with aftercare planning and ongoing recovery
- Work closely with partner agencies and stakeholders
- Identify and respond to safeguarding concerns
What We’re Looking For
- A qualified or experienced counsellor with a passion for recovery work
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience (or confidence) in delivering group work and workshops
- Ability to manage a caseload and maintain accurate records
- A collaborative, team-focused approach
- Understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality, and GDPR
- Willingness to work occasional evenings/weekends and travel when needed
