Are you passionate about supporting people to rebuild their lives and achieve lasting recovery? We are looking for a full-time Addictions Counsellor to join our team at The Bridges in Hull, working 35 hours per week within our residential substance misuse treatment centre. The Bridges is Forward Trust's residential service for adults aged 18+ who are committed to remaining abstinent from drugs and alcohol. Through a structured 36-month recovery programme based on the 12-Step principles of Alcoholics and Narcotics Anonymous, alongside Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET) and the Seeking Safety approach, we support residents to develop the skills, confidence, and resilience needed for long-term recovery.
For over 20 years, The Bridges has helped shape a growing recovery community across Hull, and with the continued expansion of Forward Trust services, we are committed to building even greater recovery opportunities for the people we support.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing a caseload, including risk assessments and recovery plans
- Delivering structured group sessions and 1-1 therapeutic interventions
- Supporting residents with tailored recovery and reintegration plans
- Carrying out admissions, drug and alcohol testing, and medication supervision
- Maintaining accurate records and reports
- Accompanying residents to external appointments and activities where required
- Working collaboratively to provide high-quality, person-centred care
