Are you passionate about supporting people on their journey to recovery from substance misuse? The Bridges, Forward's residential treatment centre in Hull, is looking for a dedicated Addictions Counsellor with a minimum Level 4 counselling qualification to join our Treatment Team.
We provide structured 3–6-month programmes for adults committed to abstinence, using evidence-based approaches like the 12-step model, Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET), and 'Seeking Safety.' Over 20 years, we've built a thriving recovery culture, and we want you to help it grow.
What You'll Do as an Addictions Counsellor:
- Manage a caseload, creating tailored recovery plans and risk assessments.
- Deliver structured group sessions and individual 1:1 support.
- Provide a full range of psycho-social interventions to meet client needs.
- Support reintegration into the community, helping residents build sustainable recovery.
- Oversee admissions, accompany clients on external activities, and supervise medication self-administration.
- Carry out drug and alcohol testing, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively across the team.
