Longreach Recruitment are hiring a Forecasting Insight Analyst for an established Forecasting & Resource Planning team. We’re seeking interest from Analysts with demonstrable experience in labour / FTE forecasting, advanced Excel skills, well‑tuned statistical analysis, and modelling expertise, and ideally, SQL abilities (to write and run extraction scripts). This is a hybrid position working 2 days onsite in Greater Manchester.
Key Role Purpose & Responsibilities
- Own the review, refinement and ‘lock process’ for the forecast model.
- Create accurate and detailed forecast models which can be broken down into hourly / daily / weekly / monthly intervals to ensure effective resource utilisation of FTE to meet demand profiles.
- Support the Snr Forecasting Manager with the long‑term annual, and quarterly forecasting process.
- Provide detailed analysis, forecasts of workload volumes and the optimal resource and capacity requirements needed to fulfil the demand.
- Identify areas for process improvement with a focus on streamlining workflow for enhanced operational efficiency.
- Present trend and variance analysis showcasing insightful recommendations to enhance performance to senior stakeholders.
What Have You Done Before? What Do You Need to Demonstrate?
Candidates MUST have demonstrable experience within forecasting and demand modelling possessing advanced abilities with Excel, the ability to manipulate large datasets to create bespoke forecasts and scenario models from concept to delivery (build from scratch). Your experience will ideally contain contact centre operations and / or planning for field‑based resources.
Key Skills & Experience Will Include
- Advanced modelling experience (forecasting, demand planning, capacity planning).
- Advanced Excel user with experience utilising Erlang and similar statistical modelling methodologies.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present data in an engaging & meaningful manner to various stakeholders.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Desirable - hands‑on ‘know‑how’ with SQL (script writing for data extraction / sorting).
- Desirable - PowerBI / Tableau.
