In the UK, we operate in a fast-paced and highly competitive market, where success requires strong execution, resilience, and commercial drive. This role is a high-performance, target-driven Inside sales position, focused on new business acquisition, where you will manage your own pipeline and contribute directly to business growth.
What you will do
- This is a desk-based role focused on outbound sales activity. Your day-to-day will include:
- Prospecting restaurants via high volumes of cold calls and outbound outreach
- Conducting virtual meetings and product demos to present TheFork products and services.
- Managing your own pipeline from first contact to closing
- Following up relentlessly and keeping momentum with prospects across multiple touchpoints.
- Negotiating and closing deals in a competitive environment
- Following up consistently with prospects to move deals forward
This is a highly proactive new business role focused on self-generated pipeline and outbound prospecting. Success in this position comes from consistency, ownership, and the ability to build strong commercial relationships in a fast-paced environment.
What success looks like
- First 60 days
- Ramp quickly on product knowledge and sales pitch (both B2C and B2B)
- Build a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities
- Demonstrate consistent daily activity (calls, meetings, follow-ups)
- Close your first 10+ deals independently
- After 60 days
- Reach full productivity on monthly targets
- Manage your pipeline independently
- Consistently generate new business through outbound activity (65+ calls per day/10+ meetings per week)
Who you are
You must meet these essential qualifications:
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a strong advantage
- 2–4 years of experience in sales, ideally in outbound B2B or inside sales roles
- Proven ability to manage a pipeline and close deals independently
- Excellent communication skills, particularly over the phone
- Confidence to pitch via the phone on the office floor in front of your peers & other stakeholders
- Resilience, with a positive and proactive attitude towards working in a target-driven environment
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage priorities effectively in a fast-paced setting
