As Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for running a specific section of the kitchen efficiently and consistently. You will prepare, cook, and present dishes to our exact standards, while supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in maintaining kitchen operations, hygiene, and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and present all menu items for your section following recipes and portion control.
  • Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation are consistent and meet our standards.
  • Manage stock levels, rotate stock, and report shortages or waste to the Sous Chef.
  • Maintain strict hygiene and cleanliness of your section, equipment, and work areas.
  • Comply with all health & safety, food safety, and HACCP regulations.
  • Assist with menu development and testing new dishes when required.
  • Train and supervise junior kitchen staff/commis chefs as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with the whole kitchen team during service and prep.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as Chef de Partie or similar role in a professional kitchen.
  • Good knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen equipment.
  • Understanding of food safety standards (Level 2 or 3 Food Hygiene Certificate preferred).
  • Ability to work well under pressure during busy service periods.
  • Strong time management, organisation, and communication skills.
  • Flexible attitude to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
