Due to expansion, we are now looking to recruit an experienced mechanic/technician to join our fantastic workshop in Omagh.
Competitive hourly rate negotiable depending on experience plus regular training & development, excellent on-site facilities and pension scheme. This role is completely flexible insofar as no brand experience is necessary. We welcome candidates with experience in other makes & models!
Responsibilities:
- Carrying out repairs on engines, gearboxes, brakes and suspension systems.
- MOT preparation
- Carry out inspections
- Diagnostic work and fault finding
- You will also learn to use our brand's in-house FORD & Geely systems and complete paperwork such as job cards and service sheets.
- Develop your skills & experience to the next level of your career.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Able to conduct routine maintenance work aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity.
- Inspecting vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately.
- Commercial vehicle experience
- Driving license
- Mechanic experience: 3 years (preferred)
- City & Guilds Automotive (preferred)
- IT literate.
- Inspecting vehicle computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain and upgrade.
- Adhere to all standards set forth by Desmond Motors.
Work Schedule:
Our Mechanics work 5 out of 7 days each week Monday-Friday. Monday to Thursday 8.30am- 5:30 pm, Friday 8.30am- 4:30pm, Saturday & Sunday closed. Occasional late evenings may be required. Enjoy bank holidays off and over Christmas.
