Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Football Coach to join our sports programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing players' skills, fostering teamwork, and promoting a positive sporting environment. Duties
- Plan and deliver engaging training sessions tailored to different age groups and skill levels
- Develop customised training programmes to improve players’ technical abilities, tactical understanding, and physical fitness
- Organise and oversee team practices, matches, and tournaments in accordance with league regulations
- Provide constructive feedback to players to encourage improvement and confidence
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment that promotes sportsmanship, discipline, and teamwork
- Monitor player progress and maintain accurate records of attendance and development milestones
- Collaborate with other coaches, staff, and parents to support player welfare and programme objectives
- Ensure all activities adhere to safety standards and organisational policies
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sports coaching, particularly football, is highly desirable
- Strong teaching skills with the ability to motivate and inspire players of varying ages and abilities
- Excellent organisational skills to plan effective training sessions and manage team logistics
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with players, parents, and colleagues
- Relevant coaching certifications or qualifications are preferred but not essential; willingness to undertake training is advantageous
- A passion for sport, youth development, and fostering teamwork is essential
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings or weekends as required
