Do you have a passion for making great products, ideally with a technical or engineering degree and/or experience in music technology manufacturing? We are looking for engineers to join us in developing manufacturing state of the art audio interfaces, MIDI controllers, groove boxes and synthesisers.
The Production Engineering team is part of our wider Engineering team. The Production Engineer role involves:
- Communicating across all engineering disciplines
- Handling all Design for Manufacture data (Electronics Mechanical Designs, Bill of Materials, Quality Documents, etc)
- Providing direct engineering support to our external contract manufacturers, both in the UK and Far East
- Opportunities to visit our factories partners abroad to provide on-site engineering support
You will be working in a people-focused, multi-functional design engineering team, collaborating on new product development and the continuous improvement of our production processes and tools.

What you’ll be doing:
- Working as part of a growing Engineering team in close collaboration with the Electronics, Firmware, Mechanical Design and Quality Assurance teams to support our New Product Introduction (NPI) Programme and ongoing mass production
- Ensuring the data released to our contract manufacturers and sub-contractors is of the highest quality and presented clearly
- Creating and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs) in our PLM system
- Creating and communicating engineering change orders (ECOs) to the factories
- Cost analysis of materials and manufacturing processes
- Product cost reporting to key stakeholders
- Investigating new manufacturing processes and quality control methodologies
- Coordinating prototype and pre-production build process at the factories
- Managing relations with UK and overseas component and PCB suppliers
- Submitting new products for regulatory certifications approvals according to our established guidelines
Knowledge, Experience Qualities:
- BEng / BSc degree, preferably in a related engineering subject – Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing Systems, etc
- Excellent written verbal communication within a technical context
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel, MIRO, Word, PowerPoint, etc
- Product cost analysis and reporting
- Growth mindset and self-motivated
- Design for Manufacturing principles (focus on electronics DFM desirable)
- Experience dealing with UK overseas contract manufacturing suppliers
- Knowledge of 'component engineering' part selection for electronics desirable
- Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems desirable
- Industry experience in audio electronics manufacturing desirable
- 8D / SixSigma beneficial
- Lean Manufacturing principles (Kaizan, KPis, Poka Yoke) beneficial
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- An interest in music, recording and/or audio is beneficial
