The Role
Reporting into the Head of Third-Party Distribution, the Distribution Account Manager will manage distribution partners in our EMEA territories for our MI brands (Focusrite, Novation, Adam Audio, Sequential and Oberheim). They will manage the revenue goals with distribution partners, managing scheduled orders, stock reports and ensuring we maintain our best-in-class sales and marketing management of the distribution channel. The role will require you to travel in the EMEA region visiting key partners at brand, distributor, and reseller level, working with the wider channel teams to ensure brand consistency throughout the region. The successful candidate will have previous experience in the MI/Audio sector.
Duties
- Develop and implement the EMEA Distribution Sales & Marketing strategy for the Focusrite Group MI Brands
- Work with the EMEA team to help develop annual sales budgets with revenue and overheads delivering the expected contribution to the wider business
- Meet and exceed the planned revenue and contribution for the EMEA Distribution business
- Develop plans for the future of distribution, assist the Head of Third-Party Distribution in the selection of potential new partners.
- Ensure all distributors are in continual compliance with their contractual obligations
- Specifically, ensure 3 months of inventory for every product is maintained and 3-month forwards orders are placed on time each month
- Ensure sales & stock information is supplied on time each month
- Stay within overhead budgets
- Maintain active relationships with EMEA distributors (current and potential for future)
- Ensure all distributors are properly trained in line with best business practices
- Ensure smooth communication and teamwork across the whole of the EMEA business
- Work with the FGEMEA Marketing Team to ensure an effective marketing strategy is realised
Skills and Experience Required
- Experience in distribution, channel sales, or partner account management preferred
- Experience in the MI/Audio sector or knowledge of music production
- Experience managing multi-country EMEA accounts preferred
- Strong presentation, negotiation, and influencing skills
- Problem-solving and conflict resolution experience
- Highly organised with ability to work autonomously
