Barista & Front of House - Brighton Road, Worthing, West Sussex

The Flour Pot Bakery is looking for a passionate and customer-focused Barista/Front of House team member to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing outstanding customer service, preparing high-quality coffee and beverages, and ensuring our store is a welcoming and vibrant space for customers. This is a part time role - based 4 - 20 hours per week Shift patterns 6:30am - 3pm 6:30am -1pm 8am - 4:30pm Store opening hours Monday - Saturday - 7:30am - 4pm Sunday - 8:30am - 4pm,

• Provide excellent customer service, ensuring all customers feel welcome and valued.
• Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including expertly crafted coffee-based drinks.
• Operate espresso machines and other coffee-making equipment with precision.
• Assist customers with menu choices and offer recommendations on our baked goods.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation in all front-of-house areas, including counters, tables, and equipment.
• Process transactions efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Assist with stock management, including restocking display cases and ensuring freshness of products.
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure a smooth and efficient service.
• Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations. Previous experience in a barista or front-of-house role is preferred but not essential-training will be provided.
• Passion for coffee, baked goods, and excellent customer service.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Positive attitude, reliability, and a proactive approach to teamwork.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required.
• Knowledge of coffee-making techniques and food safety standards is a plus.
