As we continue to grow, we're looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic supervisor to support the daily operations of one of our busy cafés.

Job overview

As a Supervisor at The Flour Pot Bakery, you will play a key role in maintaining smooth café operations, delivering outstanding customer service, and supporting the store team.

You will lead by example, ensuring high standards of service, food safety, and cleanliness, while helping to create a warm and positive environment for both staff and customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the General and Assistant Manager in the day-to-day running of the store
  • Supervise, motivate, and train front-of-house team members
  • Deliver excellent customer service in line with Flour Pot standards
  • Ensure a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for all customers
  • Monitor product presentation and quality, ensuring consistent standards
  • Assist in rota amendments, daily briefings, and shift planning
  • Manage stock levels, including ordering and waste control
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety and food hygiene regulations
  • Place orders for both internal and external suppliers
  • Handle customer feedback professionally and efficiently
  • Open and close the store, including cash handling and reconciliation duties

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a café, bakery, or hospitality supervisory role
  • Passion for food, coffee, and delivering exceptional service
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Ability to remain calm and efficient in a fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of basic food safety and hygiene practices (Level 2 Food Safety desirable)
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Barista experience is a strong advantage
