Job Overview

As a Café Key Holder, you play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of the café. You will be responsible for opening and/or closing the store, ensuring smooth service, and assisting with leading the team alongside the rest of the café management team. This position requires a passion for hospitality, excellent leadership skills, and a hands-on approach to delivering outstanding customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Opening & Closing Duties: Responsible for opening or closing the café, including setting up for service, cash handling, and securing the premises.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Deliver an outstanding experience to every customer, upholding The Flour Pot Bakery's excellent service standards.
  • Team Leadership: Support and motivate the team, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
  • Operational Support: Assist with stock management, health & safety compliance, and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
  • Problem Solving: Handle customer concerns, resolve issues efficiently, and escalate when necessary.
  • Barista & Food Service: Confidently prepare and serve high-quality coffee and food, maintaining consistency and speed.
  • Sales & Cash Handling: Process transactions accurately and support end-of-day reporting.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in a hospitality, café, or retail environment.
  • Experience in a supervisory or key holder role is preferred.
  • Passion for great coffee, food, and customer service.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
  • Food hygiene and safety awareness (training provided if needed).
