We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Artisan Baker to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a genuine passion for sourdough and traditional bread-making processes. You will be responsible for producing a range of handcrafted breads/buns, maintaining consistency and quality, and upholding the bakery’s reputation for excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, mix, and bake a variety of artisan breads, sourdough and bun products
  • Maintain and feed sourdough starters, ensuring optimal fermentation
  • Shape dough by hand using traditional techniques
  • Monitor fermentation, proofing, and baking processes to achieve consistent results
  • Operate and maintain bakery equipment safely and efficiently
  • Ensure all products meet quality and presentation standards
  • Manage ingredient stocks and assist with ordering when required
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and food-safe working environment
  • Collaborate with the team to develop new recipes and seasonal products
Skills & Experience:
  • Proven experience in artisan bread baking, particularly sourdough
  • Strong understanding of fermentation, hydration, and dough handling
  • Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and flexible hours
