This role is an excellent opportunity to learn about working in every area of the kitchen. You’ll be supporting both the kitchen and front of house, organisation and ensuring the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and front of house is always to the highest of standards. You must be a fast learner, able to work under pressure and be able to communicate with other members of the kitchen team effectively. Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Maintain a clean and tidy pot wash area at all times – in accordance to cleaning rota’s and schedules
  • Pot wash for the pastry team equipment and front of house crockery
  • Maintain a clean and tidy BOH and communal area at all times – including outside areas, staff toilets, walk in fridges, stair well and stock rooms
  • Stock management - checking off and packing away deliveries
  • Ensure that all allergen and food safety guidelines and procedures are followed at all times
  • Promote, ensure and maintain a safe working environment at all times
  • Develop a positive working relationship with the pastry team and front of house team
  • Ensure that the kitchen is always fully stocked with cleaning and drying materials (including managing the laundry - this is supplied by the hub bakery)
  • Carry out any other additional duties to assist with the smooth running of the kitchen and operation

Additional information:

KP experience required. Please note this is a production kitchen as well as a Flour Pot store, and so heavy lifting (moving stock and pastry equipment) and a fast pace is required.
