Enhanced Resource Provision – The Haven
Are you ready for your next challenge? If you are a skilled, passionate SEND practitioner we want you! You will be the lead teacher working with a small group of up to 8 children who predominantly have an ASD diagnosis. The provision caters for children aged 4‑7. You will have experience of working with complex children and have the belief in supporting all children to succeed. You will lead The Haven, alongside our very skilled teaching assistant, with support from our SENCO.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a small group (up to 8) of children primarily diagnosed with ASD, aged 4‑7.
- Provide high‑quality, tailored support to meet each child’s individual needs.
- Collaborate closely with the SENCO, teaching assistant, and other local ERP’s.
- Develop and implement learning plans that promote independence, emotional regulation, and social interaction.
- Maintain a safe, secure, and caring environment that encourages participation and well‑being.
- Engage with parents and relevant agencies to build effective relationships.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Passionate about supporting children to remove barriers to learning.
- Skilled at building effective relationships with children, parents and other agencies.
- Organised, creative, and able to think outside the box.
- Strong awareness of social and emotional development.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience working with complex children, especially those with ASD.
- Enhanced DBS check and other safeguarding responsibilities.
- Additional qualifications such as RSA and NVQ are an advantage.
