The Flooring Co (UK) Ltd is a well-established commercial flooring contractor with over 30 years of experience delivering high-quality projects across London and the South East. We're now looking for an experienced Commercial Floor Layer to join our team on a consistent, long-term basis.
The Role
- Installing a range of commercial flooring products across a variety of prestigious sites including hospitals, colleges, schools, offices and commercial refurbishments — liaising directly with our site managers and the client's site team throughout.
Key Responsibilities
- Installing safety/smooth vinyl, cap/cove, LVTs, carpet tiles, stick-down carpets and all associated subfloor preparation.
- Liaising with site managers and client site teams on a daily basis.
- Carrying out on-site check measures for QS as required.
- Programming and planning daily works.
- Maintaining a high standard of finish and attention to detail throughout.
About You
- Minimum 10 years' experience in commercial contract flooring — essential.
- Fully competent across vinyl, LVT, carpet tiles and subfloor preparation.
- Highly motivated with a can-do attitude and problem-solving mindset.
- Organised, confident and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Full UK driving licence — required.
- Current CSCS card — required.
- Able to provide a minimum of two references.
