Our care home, nestled in the picturesque town of Dartmouth in Devon, provides exceptional Residential, Nursing, Dementia, and Respite care for up to 79 residents, offering a serene and supportive environment where quality care meets coastal charm.
Contract: £15.08 per hour
Hours: Contracted to 40 hours per week

Role Overview: As a Maintenance Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the home remains safe, well maintained and fully operational at all times. This is a hands-on role with responsibility, where your practical skills and proactive approach will directly support the safety, comfort and overall environment. You will carry out a wide range of maintenance tasks across the building and grounds, including repairs, inspections, installations and general upkeep. You will ensure equipment and systems are working safely and efficiently, identifying issues early and taking appropriate action. Working closely with the Home Manager and wider team, you will support maintenance planning, compliance checks and contractor coordination where required. You will help maintain a well organised, safe and fully functional environment, ensuring all work is carried out in line with health and safety standards. The successful candidate may be contacted out of hours for some emergency call out and responsibilities.
What We Are Looking For:
- Previous experience in maintenance, facilities or a similar role
- Good knowledge of general repairs, electrical and building maintenance
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
