The role combines hands on leading with ensuring the bar is a standout part of the overall guest experience and will champion ‘small details, big difference’ on every shift.

Your day to day;

Guest Experience and Service Leadership

You will lead the bar team from the front during key trading periods, delivering a warm engaging and consistent guest experience. You will act as the escalation point for bar related guest issues and ensure the bar environment is always welcoming, vibrant and guest-ready.

Bar Operations & Product Knowledge

You will own all aspects of drinks quality and presentation, ensuring that all products are delivered to spec and brand standards. You will lead on drinks innovation, menu changes and product launches at Inn level. Commercial & Financial Accountability

You will have full ownership of bar financial performance including GP%, Sales performance and SPH. As part of this you will manage stock effectively: ordering, invoicing, stock takes and wastage control, analyse performance data to drive decision making and identify opportunities to increase revenue and profitability.

Labour Management & Team Planning

You will own the bar rota, ensuring that labour is aligned to demand and trading patterns. You will manage labour costs within budget, build an efficient and productive team structure and support recruitment and retention of the bar team.

Standards, Audits & Compliance

You will own bar, cellar and storeroom standards, delivering a consistently strong audit performance. You will ensure compliance: licensing, health & safety, food safety (where applicable) and maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization. As part of this you will ensure all checklists, processes and due diligence are completed.

Atmosphere, Ambience & Detail

You will be responsible for the overall bar environment and feel, ensuring lighting, music and energy levels are always appropriate. You will maintain high standards across bar presentation, guest areas, toilets and surrounding areas, championing attention to detail across every guest touchpoint. Overall, you will ensure the bar contributes positively to the overall Inn experience.

Leadership & Team Development

You will lead, coach and develop the bar team at all levels, helping them to build strong product knowledge and service confidence. You will deliver engaging pre-shift briefings and create a high performance, motivated team culture, recognising and celebrating team successes.

Communication & Integration

You will work closely with the General Manager and Assistant General Manager to deliver business objectives. You will also collaborate with the Restaurant Manager and Guest Service & Reservations coordinator to ensure alignment across all departments and communicating clearly with the team on business performance, targets and guest feedback.
