The Flavour Network is recruiting on behalf of a large, established manufacturing business seeking an experienced Fabrication Manager to oversee workshop operations. This role would suit a hands-on leader with a strong background in fabrication who enjoys driving performance, developing teams, and ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards. You will play a key role in managing workflow, improving operational efficiency and maintaining quality throughout the manufacturing process.

Working closely with engineering, production and senior management teams, you will help ensure customer requirements are met while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the business.

Key Responsibilities for the Fabrication Manager
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the large fabrication workshop
  • Coordinate workloads and production schedules to achieve delivery targets
  • Lead, mentor and develop fabrication personnel
  • Drive improvements in productivity, quality and operational performance
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety and quality standards
  • Work collaboratively with internal departments to support project delivery
  • Monitor resource utilisation and support cost-effective manufacturing practices
  • Identify and implement process improvements where appropriate
  • Support a positive and proactive culture within the workshop environment
Requirements for the Fabrication Manager
  • Previous experience as a Fabrication Manager, Workshop Manager, Production Manager or similar leadership position
  • Strong fabrication and welding background with experience of both TIG and MIG welding processes
  • Competent in interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Experience working with AutoCAD and supporting fabrication activities from technical drawings
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes, materials and quality requirements
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate teams within a production environment
  • Strong organisational, planning and problem-solving skills
  • Results-driven with a focus on quality, efficiency and continuous improvement
