We're looking for an experienced Social Media Strategist & Content Lead to join our team and take our social presence to the next level; creating the overall content strategy, planning the social calendar, analysing and reporting on content performance, and coordinating content across UGC creators, internal content and content you create yourself. Our biggest focus right now is US growth, so understanding the US audience is key: where she shops, what trends she connects with, what kind of content actually lands with her. We are open to either a full time candidate or a freelancer.
Location: Hybrid, Central London office. Ideally at least one day a week in our office.
Type: Full-time permanent, or part-time freelance for the right candidate.
Company Description: The Flat Lay Co. is a London beauty accessories brand, founded 2017, known for the original flat lay makeup bags. Stocked by Boots, Sephora UK and ASOS, featured in Vogue, Elle and Sheerluxe and loved by millions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own social strategy, planning and execution
- Every piece of content will have either been created by you or briefed by you
- Create content weekly, with a big focus on content that shows our products in action
- Own and plan the calendar, balanced across our content pillars
- Brief content needed from external creators (roster owned by our Partnerships Lead), and review and improve based on your own performance analytics
- Brief content needed for socials from our designers and photographers
- Post and schedule everything
- Weekly analytics and reporting on social media optimisation
- Apply that same review to our UGC-style ad creative, brief in or create replacement videos based on your analysis, working with our ads agency on what goes live
- Spot trends before they peak, and create content to meet them before they pass
- Bring new ideas, wild concepts, new formats, always be thinking about what we try next
You Are:

- 3 to 5 years similar experience at a fashion or beauty brand
- Real understanding of US social media and audience
- Sharp, on-brand copywriting, your captions should be as good as your videos
- Proof you can create content that performs
