Overview
Senior Project Manager / Production Manager role with a joinery and retail agency that designs fixed and temporary display units. They work on retail store fit-outs and pop-up shops. The position is based in Essex and requires on-site work five days a week.
Responsibilities
- Support the Project Management team and manage your own projects from initial proposal through production, delivery, and install.
- Lead the delivery process across a diverse workload with a focus on joinery and stand builds, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to document project scope, deliverables, goals, risks and issues, success measures, and estimated resources.
- Plan, schedule, monitor, and report on activities, including subcontractor monitoring; create and distribute project communications such as workshop briefs, installation notes, schedules, and budgets.
- Oversee install and site calendars for the project management team and work with the Production Workshop Manager and Managing Director to align priorities and workload.
- Coordinate logistics for installations, including weekly calendars and vehicle allocation.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of the business and with clients; develop and manage client relations.
- Lead problem-solving across departments and coordinate cross-functional teams to contribute to successful installations.
- Bring a strong understanding of the delivery and production processes for retail displays and events, including the technical aspects of production and installation.
- Be available for on-site work, including overnight periods when required.
Qualifications
- Five years of experience as a Project Manager or similar role, with responsibility for defining and managing project scope, timelines, profitability, and delivery of products or services.
- Experience delivering both customer-facing and internally facing products or services.
- Strong leadership, influence, and stakeholder management across all levels, including senior directors.
- Desirable health and safety qualification or good understanding of health and safety practices.
- Ability to work on-site as required, including overnight work for installations.
