We are currently recruiting for a talented Draftsperson / CAD Technician to join a leading creative construction company specialising in high-end scenic build, exhibitions, events, television, museums, retail environments, and large-scale creative installations.

This creative construction company has built a reputation for delivering exceptional projects across theatre, television, exhibitions, conferences, museums, live events, retail and engineering. Their in-house workshops cover carpentry & joinery, CNC machining, engineering, prop making, painting and spray finishing, allowing them to bring complex creative concepts to life from design through to installation.

Working alongside project managers, designers and workshop teams, you will be responsible for producing detailed technical and construction drawings for a wide range of bespoke projects.

Responsibilities
  • Produce accurate technical drawings and detailed CAD packages
  • Interpret creative concepts into buildable technical drawings
  • Work closely with design, fabrication and project teams
  • Prepare construction drawings for scenic builds, exhibitions and bespoke environments
  • Amend and update drawings throughout project delivery
  • Support workshop and onsite installation teams with technical information
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Draftsperson, CAD Technician or Technical Designer
  • Strong AutoCAD skills (experience with Vectorworks, SolidWorks or similar advantageous)
  • Experience producing technical drawings within construction, exhibitions, scenic build, events, interiors or manufacturing
  • Strong understanding of fabrication and construction methods
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced creative environment
Package
  • £40,000 salary for permanent candidates
  • £250 per day for freelance contractors
  • Opportunity to work on exciting high-profile creative projects
  • Long-term opportunity with an established and respected creative construction business
  • Full-time onsite role based in Surrey, 5 days per week
