Job Description

I am looking for a Creative Artworker who can be based in Newmarket Suffolk 5 days a week onsite.

Are you an experienced graphic designer or creative artworker then this could be the perfect role for you.

This is an exciting opportunity for a creative who is passionate about design to join our friendly inhouse studio design team to cover maternity leave. The role is varied but will include editing and preparing artwork for print across products including greetings cards, stationery, and gift wrap.

We are looking for a creative individual who is passionate about design and eager to contribute to our evolving business. We are looking to recruit a full time in-house graphic designer or creative to join our growing greeting card business, based in Newmarket, Suffolk. The role will include adapting, reformatting and recolouring existing imagery as well as generating design concepts for new ranges and bringing to life artwork.

The applicant should be self-motivated and have bags of enthusiasm and a can-do attitude, be highly organised with exceptional attention to detail, display strong verbal and written communication skills and be able to exchange ideas and critique alongside fellow team members.

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign. In addition, the applicant must be able to manage a variety of creative responsibilities which would include:

  • Supporting the studio team to bring new greeting card ranges to market
  • Great lettering and typographical skills
  • Preparing print ready artwork files
  • Designing and creating imagery for our website and social media channels
  • Creating and manipulating product shots for digital platforms
  • Creation of catalogues and promotional material

Preferably we are looking for a candidate with a relevant design qualification and proven experience of working within the design industry. While this is ideal, it is not essential if the applicant can demonstrate their ability and enthusiasm to learn and improve their skill set. The ability to be flexible and adapt to the needs of a growing business is required.
