I have a lovely agency working with one of the UK's largest food retailers. I am looking for account managers with food packaging design and adaptive rather than artwork.
Main Responsibilities:
- Own and be responsible for ensuring that all Design and Adaptive projects are managed professionally.
- Collaborate with clients or internal stakeholders to define project goals, deliverables, scope, and timelines.
- Translate client briefs into actionable project plans, ensuring clarity on objectives and expectations.
- Work with creative leads, designers, and delivery team to align project scope with available resources.
- Monitor progress daily/weekly and adjust plans proactively to meet deadlines.
- Act as the central point of contact between creative teams (design, copy, art direction, production) and stakeholders.
- Provide regular project updates and escalate any risk to launch.
- Maintain regular updates with clients or account teams, managing expectations and approvals.
- Review work for consistency against brief, brand guidelines, and client feedback.
- Coordinate internal reviews (e.g., design, creative artwork, QC) before submission.
- Identify and escalate issues (creative misalignment, resource gaps, scope creep) early.
- Support commercial conversations with account teams when additional time/costs arise.
- Ensure compliance with internal systems (e.g., file naming, project codes, version control).
- Attend client briefing and presentation meetings alongside other client team members.
- Help promote a quality culture, and performance improvement, throughout the business.
- Adhere to the company’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Observe our Company Values and positively promote these within your daily activities.
Skills & Experience:
- 3-5 years experience in a project management role within a creative packaging environment.
- People Management experience.
- Organisation & Time Management: Highly organised, able to juggle competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable liaising with creatives, clients, and stakeholders at all levels.
- Problem Solving: Calm under pressure with strong decision-making skills and a solutions-focused approach.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous in tracking deliverables, checking outputs, and ensuring accuracy across all stages of work.
- Brief Interpretation: Able to translate complex or creative briefs into clear deliverables and timelines.
- Creative Understanding: Good grasp of creative processes and terminology.
- Stakeholder Management: Skilled at managing feedback, facilitating approvals, and keeping all parties aligned.
