The Opportunity
As Social Media Manager, you’ll play a key role in shaping and delivering social campaigns across a variety of accounts, working closely with clients and internal teams to bring fresh ideas, commercial thinking, and performance-driven execution to the table. You’ll also manage and support two direct reports, making this a great opportunity for someone ready to develop their leadership skills while staying hands-on with strategy and content. What You’ll Be Doing
- Strategy & Campaign Planning
- Build and deliver social media strategies aligned to wider client marketing objectives
- Turn briefs into engaging, high-performing content plans across multiple platforms
- Stay ahead of platform trends, updates and opportunities to keep campaigns fresh and effective
- Client Relationships
- Act as a trusted day-to-day lead across social accounts
- Present content plans, campaign performance and recommendations with confidence
- Spot opportunities to grow accounts and add strategic value
- Collaborate with wider account teams to integrate social into broader marketing activity
- Team Leadership
- Manage and mentor two team members, supporting their growth and development
- Help foster a collaborative, positive and high-performing culture
- Support resource planning and brief internal teams or freelancers when needed
- Performance & Insights
- Oversee reporting across Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, X and other relevant platforms
- Use data and insights to optimise content and improve results
- Monitor KPIs and turn performance into clear, actionable recommendations for clients
- Content Oversight
- Review and approve social content to ensure quality, creativity and brand alignment
- Get hands-on with content creation and scheduling when needed
- Ensure content is platform-native, engaging and strategically sound
What My Client Is Looking For
- At least 2 years’ agency-side social media experience
- Proven success managing and delivering multi-platform social campaigns
- Strong knowledge of paid and organic social across Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, X and emerging channels
- Experience managing client relationships and presenting ideas confidently
- Previous mentoring or team leadership experience
- Strong copywriting skills and a sharp eye for creative detail
- Experience using social tools such as Sprout, Hootsuite or Meta Business Suite
Nice to Have
- Experience managing multiple client accounts across different sectors
- Exposure to working alongside paid media or creative/content teams
- CIM, IDM or similar digital marketing qualifications
