THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Revenue Manager to lead revenue optimisation strategies for our luxury hotel. The successful candidate will be responsible for maximising overall hotel profitability through strategic pricing, inventory control, forecasting, market analysis, and distribution management. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, exceptional attention to detail, and a deep understanding of luxury hospitality trends and guest behaviour. You will lead a small reservations department with support from an experienced and passionate senior leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement revenue management strategies to maximise room revenue, occupancy, and profitability.
- Analyse market trends, competitor performance, and demand patterns to make informed pricing decisions.
- Manage daily pricing, inventory, and availability across all distribution channels.
- Produce accurate short- and long-term forecasts, budgets, and performance reports.
- Monitor pace, pickup, market segmentation, and channel mix to optimise revenue opportunities.
- Lead weekly revenue meetings and provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Reservations, Front Office, and Finance teams.
- Optimise OTA, GDS, and direct booking channel performance while maintaining brand positioning.
- Ensure rate parity and consistency across all booking platforms.
- Evaluate and manage relationships with distribution partners and revenue systems providers.
- Support the development of promotional campaigns and special offers aligned with business objectives.
- Maintain strong knowledge of luxury market trends, local events, and competitor activity.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in Revenue Management within a hotel environment.
- Strong understanding of hotel distribution channels, forecasting, and pricing strategies.
- Experience using revenue management systems and PMS platforms such as Opera, IDeaS or similar.
- Advanced analytical and reporting skills with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent commercial awareness and strategic thinking abilities.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and hotel reporting tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Finance, or related field preferred.
