A part-time opportunity has arisen within our front office department; we are seeking to recruit a Night Concierge to join our team at The Fitzwilliam Hotel Belfast. As a Night Concierge, you will be the welcoming face of our hotel during the night shift. You will ensure a seamless and comfortable stay for our guests by providing exceptional customer service and addressing any inquiries or needs they may have. Your role is crucial in maintaining the safety and satisfaction of our guests during overnight hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests with a warm and friendly demeanour upon arrival and throughout their stay.
- Assist guests with check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints professionally and promptly.
- Provide information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions.
- Coordinate transportation and reservations for dining, entertainment, and other services as needed.
- Monitor and manage the hotel lobby and common areas, ensuring cleanliness and order.
- Collaborate with security and maintenance staff to ensure guest safety and comfort.
- Maintain accurate records of guest interactions and transactions.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Familiarity with hotel management software is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in hospitality management is a plus.
As night concierge you will report to the Director of Rooms and be supported by the Night Supervisor.
Desirable:
- A full UK clean Driving Licence - Minimum of 2 years driving experience - over the age of 30 years for insurance purposes.
- Previous experience working as a hotel concierge.
- Experience of using Opera PMS.
- Understanding AA standards of excellence; Understanding 5* Tourism NI standards.
