As kitchen porter you will join our kitchen team, reporting directly to the Head Chef. This role is key to supporting the smooth operation of all food service operations within the hotel.
As kitchen porter your main responsibility is to maintain the hygiene and cleanliness of our kitchen. If you are reliable and enthusiastic and want to work in the buzz of a busy kitchen, then a job as a kitchen porter may be the perfect job for you.
Main duties of a Kitchen Porter:
- The Kitchen porter reports to all chefs within the kitchen environment.
- Basic food preparation.
- Washing up, cleaning, and clearing all kitchen areas.
- Unloading and storing deliveries.
- Emptying bins, sweeping, and mopping floors.
- Ensuring all equipment is clean and stored correctly.
- Deep cleaning of equipment, fridges, and storerooms.
We will provide the following training in addition to on-the-job learning:
- Food Safety Awareness.
- Awareness of manual handling techniques.
- Awareness of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (COSHH) and chemical safety.
While working as a Kitchen Porter you will gain a vast cross section of transferrable skills such as organisation, communication, problem-solving, multitasking, diligence and attention to detail that can be utilised in many roles and industries.

- Any relevant experience in a commercial kitchen environment.
