WHY THIS ROLE EXISTS: This role exists to lead the strategic PR direction, creative marketing ambition and delivery excellence for a key QSR brand. You will operate at a senior level across the client’s business by working with the Business Director – Hospitality, QSR and Leisure to shape the brand’s communications strategy, manage key media relationships, ensure the effective running of the QSR-focused PR team and integrate PR seamlessly into brand, social, experiential and creator-first campaigns.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with the Business Director – Hospitality, QSR and Leisure to shape the strategic vision of the PR function for the QSR brand.
- Develop culturally relevant, insight-driven communications strategies tied to the client’s brand and commercial goals.
- Lead planning, quarterly reviews and senior stakeholder presentations.
- Set the creative and strategic standard for PR work across the client by pushing beyond traditional PR tactics into integrated earned-first activations.
- Maintain senior-level relationships with editors, commissioners and influential media.
- Drive high-profile launches, exclusives and reputation-building moments.
- Lead issues and crisis communications for the client with strategic clarity and confidence.
- Build, lead and inspire a high-performing PR team of QSR specialists.
- Provide coaching, direction and opportunities for professional growth.
Commercial Ownership + Growth:
- Work with the Business Director – Hospitality, QSR and Leisure to own financial performance across all PR related activity, including forecasting, managing scopes of work and ensuring profitability.
- Identify organic growth opportunities and lead new business efforts, pricing and scoping new projects.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & MINDSET: You’ll thrive here if you bring:
- Extensive PR agency experience gained within Hospitality, QSR or Food and Drink sectors.
- Deep, senior-level media relationships across culture, consumer, lifestyle and national publications.
- Proven ability to build PR strategies that deliver commercial and cultural impact.
- Strong team management experience with ability to inspire, coach and elevate others.
- Crisis and issues management expertise.
- Ability to integrate PR thinking across social, content, influencer and experiential.
- Strong commercial acumen including P&L ownership, forecasting and pitching.
- A team-first, values-driven approach.
