About Sana Academy

Sana Academy is a premium Pilates studio and education space based in Islington, London. The studio delivers high-quality Pilates sessions alongside professional education, working closely with freelance instructors and visiting tutors from The Fitness Group.

We are now recruiting a full-time Studio Manager who will act as the day-to-day lead for the studio, taking ownership of operations, people coordination, and client experience.

The Role

As Studio Manager, you will be the only full-time, on-site member of staff, responsible for ensuring the studio operates smoothly, professionally, and in line with Sana Academy standards. You will coordinate freelance instructors and visiting tutors, manage daily operations, and act as the main point of contact for members, partners, and The Fitness Group team. This role suits someone who is confident working independently, enjoys responsibility, and takes pride in running a studio to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Studio Operations
    • Take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the studio
    • Open and close the studio and ensure all operational procedures are followed
    • Manage class timetables, studio usage, and equipment readiness
    • Maintain a clean, organised, and professional studio environment
  • Team & Tutor Coordination
    • Coordinate freelance Pilates instructors and visiting tutors from The Fitness Group
    • Manage schedules, cover, and communication with all freelance staff
    • Support onboarding and studio inductions for new instructors and tutors
    • Act as the on-site point of contact during education courses and workshops
  • Client Experience
    • Deliver a high-quality front-of-house and member experience
    • Be the primary point of contact for enquiries, feedback, and issue resolution
    • Build strong relationships with members to support retention and referrals
    • Ensure a calm, welcoming, and premium studio atmosphere
  • Business & Performance
    • Support membership growth and class attendance
    • Monitor attendance, cancellations, and studio usage
    • Support promotions, launches, and education activity
    • Identify opportunities to improve studio efficiency and experience
  • Administration & Systems
    • Manage bookings, memberships, and payments through studio systems
    • Maintain accurate records and documentation
    • Liaise with suppliers and external partners when required
    • Provide regular operational updates to senior leadership

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Pilates, fitness, or wellness industry experience
  • Comfortable working independently as the sole full-time on-site staff member
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Confident communicator able to manage freelancers and external tutors
  • Professional, calm, and solutions-focused approach

Desirable:

  • Experience managing a studio, venue, or hospitality-led environment
  • Experience working with freelance or self-employed teams
  • Familiarity with booking or membership systems
  • Commercial awareness and interest in business growth
