About Us
Fireplace Gallery Fires & Stoves is a long‑established and respected business based in Cheltenham. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Multi‑Trades Person / Builder to join our expanding Engineer and Building team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long‑term career within a supportive and growing company. While previous experience within the fireplace industry is not essential, full training will be provided for the right candidate.
The role involves working across Gloucestershire on a variety of projects including media wall construction, renovation work, fireplace installations, and supporting our specialist engineers with gas, electric, and solid fuel installations.
Key Responsibilities
- Media wall construction and installation
- Bricklaying, blockwork, and stonework
- General building and carpentry work
- Property renovation and improvement work
- Fireplace installation
- Installation of electric fires
- Assisting gas and solid fuel engineers with fire installations
- Reporting to the Engineer Supervisor
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience in multi‑trade or building work
- Carpentry and general construction experience
- A professional and reliable approach with pride in workmanship
- Good communication and customer service skills
- The ability to work well under pressure and prioritise workloads
- A positive attitude and ability to work within a team
- Initiative and problem‑solving skills
- A full driving licence (beneficial but not essential)
Working Hours
This is a full‑time permanent position. Optional Saturday work may be available when required. As a business, we are closed on Sundays, Bank Holiday weekends, and for just over one week during Christmas and New Year.
Salary & Benefits
- Starting salary: £30,000 – £37,500 per annum (depending on experience)
- Annual bonus scheme
- 28 days annual leave (including Bank Holidays)
- 30‑minute paid lunch break
