Our client is growing and they're looking for talented 3D Designers to join their creative team based at their Farnborough head office. To succeed in the role, you will ideally have the right combination of technical expertise, artistic licence, and 3D visualisation skills.
Key Responsibilities of 3D Designer:
- Demonstrate strong design skills and the ability to think creatively, generating innovative ideas and solutions, and exploring different resolutions to a brief.
- Translate an idea into a compelling 3D design that tells a story and achieves a client’s goals.
- Create artwork for print (beneficial).
Day To Day of 3D Designer:
- Translate ideas, sketches, and written client briefs into exciting 3D designs.
- Identify client’s brand, target audience, key messaging, and market position to ensure concepts align with their goals.
- Attend client meetings to aid in the successful capture of a project brief alongside the sales team.
- Present concepts, mood boards, floor plans, and renderings using creative storytelling to explain design intent.
- Use pricing processes to produce accurate cost and sale estimations alongside the sales team.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, technologies, competitors, materials, etc.
Essential Skills and Experience of 3D Designer:
- SketchUp and V-Ray experience essential.
- Present a strong portfolio of events and design demonstrating visualisation ability.
- Clear understanding of design intent, technical build capabilities, and the impact of H&S regulations on project outcomes.
- Ability to work under pressure and independently.
- Exceptional eye for detail.
- Commercial awareness to work within client budgets guided by the sales team.
- Good communicator with a strong ability to listen, reflect, and act on briefs and feedback.
- Good knowledge and ability to use the Adobe suite.
- Excellent organisational skills – ability to manage multiple projects and ensure time is utilised efficiently.
- Comfortable working in a collaborative environment with input from multiple stakeholders working towards a unified goal.
Desirable:
- Proven track record of design experience in the event industry.
- Ability to sketch/illustrate.
- Additional 3D visualisation software and animation skills advantageous.
