My client is seeking an experienced and dedicated Safeguarding professional to join their team and champion the safety and well-being of their students across multiple sites. This role, reporting to the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), is pivotal and offers an opportunity to make a lasting impact within a supportive and dynamic environment.
About the Role
You will play a key role in maintaining a robust safeguarding culture, ensuring compliance with evolving policies and standards. Responsibilities include managing safeguarding concerns, liaising with external agencies, and supporting staff training.
Reporting to the DSL, you will work across various school sites, engaging with students and hard-to-reach families to provide sector-leading support.
Please note that this is an on-site role, split between head office and schools., + Act as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) across all sites.

Handle safeguarding cases and referrals, working closely with social services and external partners.

Attend child protection conferences and strategy meetings.

Conduct staff inductions, oversee CP/CIN/CLA cases, and lead training sessions.

Maintain and use school systems for documentation and tracking.

Support attendance initiatives and foster engagement with families.
You are an experienced safeguarding professional who is seeking a new challenge and who is wanting to join a rapidly growing organisation that can truly offer career progression and development.
You may already be in a safeguarding role in an education setting- or you may be a social worker or teacher (with safeguarding experience) who is looking for a new challenge. Either way, you will have experience and a passion for working with and supporting young people with complex needs.

Qualifications:

Proven leadership experience as a DSL or in a similar safeguarding role.

Relevant degree (minimum) and safeguarding qualifications (desirable).

Qualified social worker status is an advantage.
