Overview
In this role you will cover Central European asset owners for MandateWire, building a strong network of senior contacts and delivering exclusive mandate-related insights. You’ll produce a mix of news, analysis, and multimedia content, contributing to a leading subscription publication in the FT Specialist network. You’ll collaborate across the European editorial team to expand market coverage and audience engagement. This is a chance to shape authoritative, data-informed reporting in a fast-paced, cross-border environment.

Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with senior asset owner representatives across the DACH region via calls, virtual meetings, and events
- Research and write accurate, original news on investment mandate searches, tenders, manager appointments/terminations, governance developments
- Conduct independent research using annual reports, regulatory filings, and public sources
- Maintain MandateWire’s proprietary database with timely market intelligence
- Generate a pipeline of exclusive mandate stories for daily subscriber alerts
- Expand and develop a high-quality network of asset owner contacts
- Contribute feature articles, market analysis and trend pieces
- Create multimedia content (video interviews, podcasts, etc.) to enhance editorial coverage
- Represent MandateWire at industry conferences, moderate panels, host webinars, and interview senior figures
- Collaborate with the European editorial team to support comprehensive market coverage
Key requirements
- Fluency in German (speaking, reading, translating to a professional standard)
- Strong communication and interviewing skills for senior contacts
- Excellent written English for clear, engaging content
- Strong research and analytical abilities to identify newsworthy developments
- Good organization and prioritization to manage deadlines
