The Role
Sitting within the Professional Services, Legal & Government (PSLG) team, and reporting to the Group Head, you will lead the FT's global relationships with law firm clients and own the FT Innovative Lawyers Programme. This high-impact role combines revenue growth, stakeholder engagement and project execution for one of the FT's flagship global franchises.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive revenue exceeding £1.8M annually from global law firm clients
- Lead the FT Innovative Lawyers Programme worldwide, generating ~£800k in revenue annually
- Build and manage senior-level relationships with law firm clients and agencies
- Develop and deliver insight-driven proposals aligned with client priorities
- Identify and convert new business opportunities while maintaining renewals
- Oversee planning and execution of Innovative Lawyers events and special reports
- Represent the FT as a senior speaker at global events (minimum 3 annually) across APAC, Europe, and the US
- Collaborate closely with FT Live and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery
- Maintain accurate pipeline and activity logs using Salesforce
- Actively contribute to growth strategy across PSLG and the broader B2B team
Required Skills and Experience
- Previous experience working in or selling to the legal sector
- Proven ability to work with senior-level stakeholders and build lasting commercial relationships
- Willingness to travel internationally for client and industry events
- Experience coordinating complex programmes with multiple internal and external partners
- Strong proposal development skills rooted in commercial and client insight
- Gravitas to engage board and planning-level legal sector professionals
- Interest in and/or experience with the global legal market
- Proven track record in delivering commercial solutions, especially display and content-led campaigns
- Results-driven mindset with strong commercial acumen
- Familiarity with Salesforce for managing contacts and pipelines
- Commitment to excellent client service and internal collaboration
- Background in media, professional services, or events-led programme delivery
