Self-Employed Mortgage & Protection Advisor
Location: Liverpool (Knowledge Quarter)
Company: The Finance Family
Status: Self-Employed Role – Due to Growth Driven by New Estate Agency Partnership.
About Us
The Finance Family is a Directly Authorised (DA) mortgage and protection brokerage serving clients nationally. Following the successful onboarding of several new estate agency partners, we are expanding our team to meet growing client demand.
The Role
As a Self-Employed Mortgage & Protection Advisor, you will work with a strong pipeline of warm leads from one of our reliable estate agencies who are looking for a reliable advisor to partner with their sales teams, working from the office a few times per week - outside of this, you are fully remote to work where and when you want. This role gives you the independence of self-employment with the advantage of DA-level freedom, personalised support and a partner agency to supply regular quality leads to you.
Why Being Directly Authorised Matters for You
- Greater Autonomy & Flexibility: No restrictive network rules, product limitations, or insurance panel constraints.
- Ability to deliver faster, more personalised advice without unnecessary bureaucracy.
- More Competitive Earnings: DA structures typically mean better commission splits, fewer fees, and more of your income kept by you.
- Stronger Adviser Support: Compliance support is direct and responsive—not routed through a large network.
Our Self-Employed Proposition
- Industry-Leading Support: Full administration support (we chase lenders, update clients, upload documentation, and submit life insurance apps).
- More time for client advice and business generation.
- CPD monitoring, training & ongoing support.
- Social media and marketing support.
Business Benefits
- Whole-of-Market for Mortgages, Life Assurance, and Income Protection.
- FCA fees paid.
- Professional Indemnity Insurance paid.
- Assistance with finding introducers & setting up agreements.
- Opportunity to progress into Pension & Investment Advice.
- Company leads and introducers available for as long as required.
- Use of office space & meeting rooms.
Who We’re Looking For
- CeMAP (or equivalent) qualified.
- Confidence and experience in mortgage & protection advice.
- A driven, proactive advisor who thrives in a self-employed environment.
- Strong relationship-builder, especially with estate agents and introducers.
- Capable of managing your own business pipeline & diary.
