- We're looking for an energetic, hardworking, and reliable
Kitchen Porter to join our farmshop & kitchen team.
Our Kitchen Porters play a hugely important role in keeping the kitchen running smoothly.
You'll work closely with our chefs and wider team to maintain a clean, organised and efficient kitchen, while supporting with preparation, deliveries and the day-to-day operation.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working as part of a team, takes pride in doing a great job and wants to develop their skills within a busy kitchen environment.
- What You'll Be Doing
- Keeping the kitchen, equipment and work areas clean, tidy and organised throughout service.
- Washing dishes, pans, utensils and kitchen equipment efficiently and to a high standard.
- Supporting the chefs with basic food preparation when required.
- Helping with the preparation and storage of fresh, seasonal and locally sourced produce.
- Supporting deliveries, including checking, moving and storing ingredients appropriately.
- Ensuring stock is stored correctly and helping with stock rotation.
- Managing kitchen waste and recycling responsibly.
- Keeping bins, floors and kitchen areas clean and maintained throughout the day.
- Supporting the kitchen team during busy services and helping wherever you're needed.
- Ensuring cleaning schedules and food safety procedures are followed.
- Maintaining excellent health & safety and hygiene standards.
- Looking after kitchen equipment and reporting any issues promptly.
- Working closely with chefs and the wider team to ensure the kitchen operates smoothly.
- Taking pride in creating a clean, safe and positive working environment.
What We're Looking For
- Previous kitchen, hospitality or cleaning experience would be beneficial, but isn't essential.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
