- We're looking for an energetic, passionate, and hospitality-focused
Assistant Manager to join our farmshop & restaurant team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves hospitality, enjoys working with people, and wants to play an important role in creating a welcoming destination that people love to visit.
Working closely with the General Manager and wider team, you'll help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the farmshop and restaurant, supporting the team, maintaining excellent service standards and making sure every guest has a fantastic experience.
- What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting the General manager with the day-to-day operation of the Farmshop and restaurant.
- Helping to lead and motivate the team, creating a positive and welcoming working environment.
- Taking responsibility for the operation during shifts when required.
- Delivering outstanding customer service and ensuring our guests receive a warm, friendly and memorable experience.
- Supporting the team with opening and closing procedures and ensuring the restaurant and farmshop are presented to a high standard.
- Helping to manage stock, waste and operational standards.
- Supporting the delivery of events, promotions and seasonal activities.
- Working closely with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Supporting the training and development of team members.
- Dealing confidently and professionally with guest feedback and queries.
- Maintaining excellent food safety, health & safety and compliance standards.
- Leading by example and being hands-on wherever the team needs support.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a hospitality, restaurant, café, farmshop or food service environment.
- Previous supervisory or team-leading experience would be beneficial.
- A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering great guest experiences.
- Confident, friendly and approachable with excellent communication skills.
- Organised and able to remain calm and positive during busy services.
- Someone who enjoys working as part of a team and is happy to get stuck in.
- A good understanding of food safety, health & safety and hospitality standards.
- A genuine enthusiasm for local food, farming and community.
- Someone with the drive, energy and passion to make things happen.
