The post-holder will work under the remit of the specialist nurses, working within the clinic. Main duties are working with the nursing team to support patients on their fertility journey from assisting with initial investigations right through to being present at events following treatments. Other tasks include a wide range of administrative skills to book patients in for treatment, generating treatment plans and ensuring all documentation is complete ensuring regulatory requirements are met. This role is also a very practical role requiring a dynamic individual who is competent to assist with procedures throughout that journey to include theatre running, phlebotomy and many more tasks. This is a permanent part-time position working 25 hours per week.
Thames Valley Fertility (TVF) was established in 2017, and due to the passion, expertise and reputation of our team, has already grown into a leading fertility clinic. Providing treatment to both NHS and private patients, TVF performs approximately 550 fresh cycles and 450 frozen cycles per year. Offering a full suite of treatment and diagnostic services, including PGT. Conveniently located on the outskirts of Maidenhead, adjacent to junction 8/9 of the M4, there is ample free parking for staff and patients at the front of the building.
Key Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible and accountable for the delivery of high quality care to meet the needs of the patients.
- Under direction, you will develop skills in the instruction, advice and care of couples throughout their treatment process. This involves clinical, theatre and recovery roles.
- Phlebotomy.
- Patient contact - in person, on the telephone and via email.
- Complete patient and group paperwork on time and with accuracy.
- Assisting in theatre and recovery.
- Other duties as instructed by your line manager.
- Administration for management of patient treatment cycles and to assist nursing staff as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience as a Health Care Assistant.
- IT literate.
- Interest in Women’s Health.
- Good communication skills.
- Previous experience in Fertility Clinic or Outpatients department desirable.
- Phlebotomy skills desirable.
Location: TFP Thames Valley Fertility - Maidenhead
Working Hours: 25 Monday to Friday. Weekend working required at approximately 1:4.
Salary: Competitive (Depending on experience).
Pension: Dual contribution pension scheme.
Holiday Entitlement: 27 Days + Bank holidays.
