Clyde and Hebrides Ferries Community Board (FCB)

We are looking for several community-minded individuals with lived experience of west coast island life to join the Ferries Community Board (FCB).

We are seeking energetic individuals who wish to make a difference in the local communities by proactively engaging with a variety of community groups to seek out their views and opinions and being a voice for people who live in the communities that we serve.

The Board consists of 9 - 12 members representing island communities across the west coast ferry network, from the Outer Hebrides to the Clyde.

The Board will work in collaboration with partners Calmac Ferries, Transport Scotland and CMAL. The Board has developed a workplan focussing on service and infrastructure improvements and is building positive working relationships with all partners.

Ideal candidates will have an intricate knowledge of island life and an informed understanding of how ferry services are delivered between CalMac, CMAL and Transport Scotland. Applicants require strong communication skills and experience working with local committees and community groups.

Members are expected to attend four Board meetings per year and contribute to the FCB's annual strategic workplan, which helps advance network-wide improvements in ferry services for island and coastal communities. xgikmsk
