About this Role
We wish to appoint an enthusiastic, diligent and highlyskilled teacher of English to cover for a colleague's maternity leave. Thesuccessful candidate will be accomplished in planning and be capable ofdelivering a high- quality and ambitious curriculum for all children.
The English Faculty is a passionate, talented and dedicatedteam with a keen interest in teaching and learning. Our staff are keen to workcollaboratively to secure the best outcomes for the children. The EnglishFaculty consists of 17 teaching staff with a broad range of experience.
Students benefit from a carefully sequenced curriculum,underpinned by pedagogical research, which challenges all learners. Ourcurriculum celebrates the diversity of the Fernwood Family and seeks to empoweryoung people to find their voice. The English Faculty use curriculum resourcesas a springboard for their adaptive teaching; we encourage staff to innovateand teach creatively in a way that feels authentic to them, whilst ensuringstudents receive a balanced and varied English education.
The right candidate will have a clear vision for the futuredevelopment of teaching and learning in English. They will be able to driveimprovement in the outcomes within English and motivate and lead the faculty tofurther success.
