We are a catering events business that incorporates several different brands within it. The Fendale Group comprises of Caiger & Co, Spoilt for Choice, The Pie Man, Sophie Wright Catering and Archies. We deliver a diverse range of events, from private weddings, bespoke dinner parties for high-end corporate clients to workplace catering and more cost-conscious options. Our Chelsea shop has served the community for over 40 years, offering a unique perspective on all aspects of the catering industry.

We are looking for a disciplined and skilled Production Chef to join our HQ team in Battersea. You will be the engine of our kitchen, ensuring that the high-volume food production for our diverse events meets our exacting standards for quality and consistency. About You

You are a methodical, proactive, and professional chef who thrives in a high-volume environment. You have a sharp eye for detail and a "can-do" attitude, whether you are prepping for a 200-person wedding or producing retail stock for our shop. You work well as part of a team and are comfortable following strict standardised recipes.

Key Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience: Proven experience in a high-volume production kitchen, catering, or events environment.
  • Technical Skill: Strong culinary foundations and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
  • Compliance: Good understanding of HACCP, food safety standards, and allergen management.
  • Attributes: Highly organized, adaptable, and able to follow precise processes.

Working Hours

Ability to work a 5-day rota (Monday to Sunday) including occasional early mornings, evenings, and weekends based on event schedules. Max 45 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Kitchen Operations & Production: Execute large-scale food production across all Fendale brands to specific recipe standards. Manage "mise en place" for a diverse range of events, from corporate workplace catering to private weddings. Ensure all food is prepared, chilled, and stored correctly following "cook-chill" and food safety protocols. Support the kitchen team in moving equipment and stock between the kitchen and storage areas.
  • Quality & Compliance: Maintain rigorous HACCP documentation and complete daily temperature checks for food and storage. Ensure the kitchen and prep areas are kept clean, organized, and well-maintained at all times. Monitor stock levels and assist with logging supplier deliveries (fresh produce, dry goods, and specialty stock).
  • Logistics & Event Support: Work closely with the Warehouse and Logistics Manager to ensure all food is packed correctly for transport. Support onsite event teams when necessary, acting as a professional Back-of-House presence. Collaborate with Event Managers to prepare food orders based on specific event packing lists.
