We are seeking an Account Lead who has experience managing senior client relationships with a background in leveraging research and insight to drive strategy across retail products, media and marketing.

Background: Tandem is the dedicated partnerships agency of The Female Lead, creating high-impact collaborations that align commercial goals with social purpose. We are now seeking an Account Lead to plan and coordinate our innovative work with a major retailer. This role requires skills in client relationship and stakeholder management, someone who can understand true data-led strategies targeted media amplification across store formats & brands. This role sits at the heart of our retailer partnership – keeping both teams aligned, ensuring insight translates into action, and that the day-to-day runs smoothly. The successful candidate will leverage a background in research and insights to influence commercial strategies across product development, ranging, pricing, promotion, marketing, and media. This position serves as the primary liaison between Tandem’s mission-driven initiatives and our client’s retail objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Management & Activation
    • Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for key clients and key stakeholders.
    • Fostering long-term professional relationships through consistent and clear communication.
    • Understand how to turn consumer insights into actionable strategies and tactics.
    • The ability to translate data and insight into clear, visually compelling proposals and presentations.
    • Manage client expectations regarding timelines, deliverables, and performance reporting.
    • Proactively identify potential client challenges and develop creative solutions to mitigate risks.
  • Commercial & Operational Oversight
    • Maintain full accountability for budget tracking, scope management, and project financials related to key accounts.
    • Monitor project and team workflows to ensure all outputs are delivered on time, within budget, and according to the agreed scope.
    • Identify operational efficiencies and value-add opportunities to maximize the commercial impact of the partnership.

Candidate Profile

  • 5+ years of experience in account management, campaign delivery, or insights-led strategy within an agency or brand-side environment.
  • A documented background in data, insights, and research, specifically concerning how metrics dictate retail/cpg marketing strategy.
  • Direct experience working with or for major insights and research firms (such as Kantar, GWI, dunnhumby, Circana or similar) is an advantage.
  • A proven track record of managing multi-channel campaigns for high-profile, blue-chip clients.
  • Ability to interpret data & insight and translate to clear commercial strategies and presentations for retail environments.
  • Project management and budget competency.
  • The confidence and skills to manage multiple project plans.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, able to manage up and down.
  • Ability to present data insights using compelling headlines and visuals to business leaders.
  • A highly organised and proactive approach to project management, with a focus on solutions and efficiency.

Location & Hybrid Working

This is a full-time, hybrid role with 2 days per week in our Notting Hill office and at least 1–2 days at the client site, accessible by car or short train journey. The salary for this position is dependent on experience. Feel free to state your salary expectations when you apply.
