The Producer is responsible for the overall creative and operational delivery of podcast episodes at Fellas Studios. This role owns the vision and execution of episodes from concept through to post-production and release, ensuring content is delivered to a high editorial standard and performs strongly across platforms.

Working closely with talent, editors, and the wider production team, the Producer oversees episode planning, manages recording sessions, and ensures strong packaging and distribution strategy. The role requires someone who combines creative instincts with strong production discipline, able to make confident editorial decisions while maintaining efficient workflows and meeting production deadlines.

The Producer plays a key role in maintaining the quality, performance, and consistency of shows, while contributing to the growth and development of the wider studio output.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Episode Vision & Editorial Direction: Own the creative vision of episodes, ensuring each production aligns with the show's format, tone, and audience expectations. Lead the editorial direction of episodes and ensure discussions, segments, and topics deliver engaging content.
  • Run-of-Show & Episode Planning: Develop and manage the run-of-show for each episode, ensuring the structure is clear and production teams are aligned ahead of recording.
  • Host & Talent Management: Brief hosts prior to recording to ensure clarity on episode structure, key topics, and production flow. Ensure talent feel prepared, supported, and able to deliver strong on-camera performances.
  • Guest Experience: Oversee the guest experience, ensuring guests are well accommodated and have a positive experience throughout the production process.
  • Editorial Quality Control: Maintain high editorial standards across episodes, ensuring discussions remain engaging, relevant, and aligned with the show’s format and audience expectations.
  • Post-Production Oversight: Provide clear and actionable post-production notes to editors, ensuring episodes are delivered efficiently and maintain strong narrative and pacing.
  • Clip & Platform Strategy: Develop platform-specific clip strategies that maximise reach and engagement across YouTube, TikTok, and other platforms.
  • Packaging Ownership: Take ownership of episode packaging, including final sign-off on titles and thumbnails, ensuring they align with channel strategy and maximise click-through performance.
  • Performance Analysis: Review episode performance metrics, including CTR, retention, and view targets, to identify opportunities for improvement and inform future episode strategy.
  • Testing & Optimisation: Develop A/B testing plans for titles, thumbnails, and formats to optimise episode performance and improve audience engagement.
  • Sponsor Integration: Ensure sponsor integrations are delivered accurately and in line with brand requirements while maintaining a natural fit within the episode.
  • Crisis Management: Respond effectively to unexpected production issues such as guest cancellations, sponsor changes, or technical failures, ensuring episodes can still be delivered successfully.
  • Campaign & Project Oversight: Oversee campaigns and content projects, ensuring they are delivered to a high standard and within agreed timelines.
  • Team & Workflow Management: Support the coordination of editors and production workflows, ensuring post-production processes run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Cross-Show Collaboration: Offer support across other shows where required and contribute to improving production standards across the studio.
  • Production Capability: Maintain the ability to step into production roles where necessary, including editing long-form or short-form content, setting up recording environments, or supporting live streams.
Requirements:
  • Ability to confidently interact with colleagues at all levels, including talent, talent managers, and external stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
