Our engineers work hand-in-hand with architects and clients to craft innovative, tailored fire strategies that enhance safety without compromising the aesthetic or function of a building. From residential to commercial, we cover every sector with smart, practical, and design-conscious solutions.
The Role
We\’re on the hunt for a Senior Fire Engineer who doesn\’t just tick boxes but solves problems. You\’ll be advising clients, developing fire strategies, and shaping projects from concept through to completion.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Leading fire strategy development (solo or as part of a team)
- Reviewing and interpreting CFD and zone models
- Marking up plans in Bluebeam and producing fire strategy documents (RIBA Stage 2 to As-Built, Gateway 1 to 3)
- Presenting to clients, authorities, and building control — you\’re the voice of reason and reassurance
- Conducting site inspections to ensure fire safety is built right, not just written down
Requirements
What we are looking for:
- An experienced fire engineer with a good degree, preferably in fire engineering or related topic
- Someone with or looking to achieve chartered status
- Demonstrable relevant fire engineering experience
- Experience of site visits/inspection for existing buildings and during construction
- Experience of structural fire engineering would be of benefit
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to prioritise
- Customer focused and with strong people skills
- Strong analytical and good report writing skills
- Proficiency in the use of standard IT applications (e.g. Word, Excel)
- A drive to improve current performance
- Full UK Driving license
You should have:
- A strong understanding of UK legislation and design guidance
- An ability to work on multiple projects concurrently, working to tight deadlines
