Your Role
As a Senior/Supervising Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting Foster Parents and ensuring that every child in our care has the opportunity to thrive. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing guidance and support to Foster Parents to achieve outstanding outcomes for children and young people.
- Monitoring the suitability and competence of Foster Parents, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
- Ensuring Foster Parents understand their roles, responsibilities, and the standards expected of them.
- Conducting regular supervision sessions in line with FCA's Operational Standards.
- Collaborating with a team to identify needs within Foster Parent households, including respite and therapy.
- Maintaining compliance with all key documentation for children and Foster Parents.
- Attending meetings and providing reports for Commissioning Teams.
- Encouraging participation of children/young people in agency development and community resources.
- Participating in an out-of-hours support service on a rota basis.
- Occasionally conducting initial home visits and Form F Assessments.
What You Need
We are looking for passionate individuals who meet the following criteria:
- A Social Work qualification.
- Professional registration with Social Work England or equivalent.
- Proven ability to produce high-quality reports.
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation and child safeguarding procedures.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively, including occasional overnight stays.
- Confidence in transporting children and young people in challenging situations.
- A full driving licence.
